HopelessnessCareful not to slip while I choke you, loosely  Pale hands round your tender neck  Desperately trying to smell the scent  That I embossed into your pores  With venomous petals  Because you always saw me that way   
I’ve never felt the earth this low  Between my fingers  Or underneath my nails, where your dead cells nest  I had forgotten that forever doesn’t exist   
Cradle your clean head with your ravaged hands   
Can you smell me rotting underneath your skin? Hopelessness

Lifting CellsFinding a way to cease this fire inside  Regurgitating flames and choking on burnt skin  My oesophagus bleeds in molten flesh  
Silencing my voice to a pained humming   
Through wire mesh I leave tracing paper behind       Lines of charcoal guiding their way through the confusion  That bubbles internal whispering into buckets of sour lies  Reached through and felt the presence   
So soft in comparison   
I hold on so hard I feel my bones crumble beneath my skin as it falls away  Into the foul pit beneath me  My organs tick to remedy
